I so enjoyed reading this book, although many times I was brought to tears. Thanks for sharing and helping others to heal. God bless you.
This book by Anne Davis was actually very interesting to read. I've read a lot of "survivor" stories most of which were either not very believable and/or not very interesting for one reason or another. This woman came across as genuine. Her story actually moved me to tears more than once and I can't say that about most books I read. I liked the fact that she explains quite clearly at the beginning of her story that this was "HER" story -it wasn't supposed to be a representation of SRA overall for all victims of SRA. She just wanted to tell the story as it happened to her -it was believable and not over sensationalized. Her pain made sense -and I could follow her story. I think this is a very valuable work if you're interested in the subject matter.
I dont know about anyone else, but I actually felt the need to reach out and hug this child that she was; it was that heart breaking. She is an inspiration though, even after all that she manages to find forgiveness and she wasn't content to just be a victim for the rest of her life. She overcame and made a difference in spite of - I can respect that and admire that. Good book - my only criticism if you can call it that, is I really found myself wanting to read something written by her siblings about the whole mess -I just felt a hole where I thought their input should have been. I dont even know why -but I feel myself still wanting to know what they have to say.
I applaud her for her strength to write on a topic not socially received as truth but swept under the carpet. Very good book. I understood it.

I could not put this book down, it is so unbelievable that children are treated so cruelly by evil parents. Thank you for sharing your story Anne, God has restored and redeemed your life just as he promises in His Word.

Compelling and very sad story of Satanists who are prolific are among us who abuse sometimes kill children and animals.
Story ends well the author survives and lives to expose her tormentors-who were her parents.
As a survivor, it is so comforting to hear stories like this; that you can heal and move forward with a productive life. Her courage and determination to overcome her abuse is inspiring. It feels so wonderful to not feel alone and to know someone else understands what it's like. I also love how she incorporated her religion as a resource of healing in her life.
Anne Johnson-Davies has provided an account of ritual abuse that is painfully authentic and undeniable. She has the written confessions of her perpetrators, her parents and a formal statement from retired Detective Matt Jacobson from the Attorney General's Office. There are accounts of ritual abuse that are intentionally ludicrous. There has been an active attempt to discredit ritual abuse accounts, the extent of which should make it clear that there is indeed something to hide. Anne Johnson-Davis account is painfully believable.
